In the recently concluded game between Leeds and Yorkshire rivals Sheffield United, Leeds dominated Elland Road by winning a 2-0 victory over its rival. The Leeds defender went into the corner of Joe Rothwell who then smashed the ball, earning a perfectly done left-footed strike and earning a goal. This was an act that ended the 11 hours of Sheffield United’s defensive run and was the beginning for the first set-piece goal for Leeds.

After the match, Daniel Farke who was the manager of Leeds United praised his side’s performance, where hw highlighted how mature the team handled the game, being able to balance both the attacks and the defense effectively, making a significant chance of winning. “They were an unbeaten side so far in this league, six clean sheets in a row,” Farke said, referring to the challenge of facing Sheffield as a big competitor and rival for the recently concluded game. Chris Wilder, the Sheffield United manager, has seen the victories of his team. Baldock was a member of the football team for quite some time now. Unfortunately, his journey was cut short at the age of 31 as the news of his passing sent sadness for his teammates just last week. Through a round of applause, Baldock was remembered by his fans, coach, teammates, and everyone else who became part of his life. Throughout his journey with Sheffield, he was able to help Blades achieve their promotion for the 2019 Premier League, which was once again made possible in the year 2023. Aside from that, he became a significant icon in football as he was able to bring home 12 caps when he moved to Panathinaikos and represented Greece at an international level.
